I often move things by myself too. You need a garden wagon with the fold down sides.
I have one lately
Runs pretty smooth. Would be a good engine for a lil pump jack oil well to pump water.
What do you mean how is this real it's pressurized gas that's how o and buy the way the baffles need cleaned out

5 star content. Did you turnip the grease under the piston?
I filled and tightened the grease cup on the connecting rod several times. The bearings were worn a lot and I started taking out shims until it didn't knock anymore

By an OEM blend door .....the extra money spent is worth it! Peace
Not a bad idea but it's common for the factory ones to have problems. Which causes the need for it to be replaced in the first place
Are you sure that's 1972? Wind-up starters were pretty much gone by the early 60s. So was that style muffler. Same with that updraft carb. At least to the best of my memory as a kid who played with machinery.
I saw this referred to somewhere as a 1972 era engine. I have no idea as to the accuracy of that source. I considered making the title 60s. Perhaps I'll change it at some point

"I've never stick welded before" If that's true then I don't think it's a voltage drop issue, but rather a skill issue and lack of preparation, which in this case is just grinding the paint off. I've been stick welding for months and still sometimes weld the electrode to the metal like you did, starting up is an art and it likes clean metal. Sometimes you need to chip the flux off the end of the stick so you have fresh metal there, after a few bad starts the metal can melt up inside the flux and become hard to arc I'm sure all that smoke was the paint burning off 😂
I know more now, and looking back. I don't remember what rod I used. Probably whatever I could find
I was not expecting to hear English.
you guys are killin' me.....lotta smoke......the idea is not smoke, but molten metal
Idk, smoke is pretty badass
Man, that is a Linde Welder, not some junk from the Orient......
why not just plug into the 220 volt outlet in the house...... saves having to crawl on roof, and gives a better connection....
No such outlet
It's a great way to get free welding power.😂
Its 120v per leg not 240v. Its 240v phase to phase
I'm a bit disappointed, I thought you were to hook up the other side of the cables straight to the metal and electrode, and basically short the power line. Some guys from Ukraine did that years ago. I believe their channel was named Kreosan.
Maybe next time ;)
Please just go to harbor freight and get a 20amp mig welder next time
You're an unscrupulous electrician, or in common parlance an absolute fool.
this is just stealing power. not an experiment. just stealing power.. there's not enough voltage drop to effect the welder.
no fuse between the power and the wielder. If the wielder is defective the wires connected to the power will act like a fuse, as in get hot and melt.
Bigger the balls. Smaller the brain 😂
severely underrated channel
That clamp isn’t 240 it’s 120
That's true, it depends on what the "other end" of my electrocution is. Since I'm reaching for the line, I have a very high potential risk to touch the other 120 leg and produce 240 in total. But it's only live with 120 with respect to any water pipe or grounded fixture.
@@unigrampa Just don’t fall and grab the other line at the same time then haha
Years ago neighbor house and mine shared same transformer. He be using his 120 volt mig welder to do short tacks on sheet metal. My lights would flicker a bit. I can't imagine what his neighborhood was doing....lol.
Nobody cares what you do at your own house. But if the power company finds out you're bypassing the meter and stealing power they're not going to be happy. With that being said. If you pay close enough attention to any open air wire that is really old (60+ years) you'll notice it won't even have any jacketing left on it. In the hood, It's not uncommon to see split bolts installed and wires ran down the pole for bypassing power meters. Jumper cables are a little too obvious. Just make sure you're on the secondary side of the transformer.
This was only because I didn't have a 240 outlet and wasn't able to modify the house to install a 240 outlet. I would have used 240 that was metered if I'd had access. I fear that power companies today, expecially mine, are watching too closely and prosecute people too hard for it to be worth risking getting caught.
@@unigrampa You do have 240. Jump across adjacent breaker points. Pull 2 adjacent breakers and install a 240 breaker.
That's how they do it in Mexico. Though there they usually knock out the power meter so they don't have to climb on the roof. TBH I thought you were just gonna stick weld right off the power pole. lol
That was absolutely terrifying to watch 😂😂
I saw the thumbnail and just said "oh god" I opened the video and said "oh god no" I saw the old 1930s machine and said "oh. He's got this" I thought you were going to short the actual power lines.
One could, ideally you'd place something in series to limit the current. Even if it's as simple as getting a second pair of jumper cables and wrapping them around a big chunk of metal. Homemade inductor.
Although you may have to wrap each jumper cable in an opposite direction to prevent the magnetic fluxes cancelling each other out. You couldn't literally wrap both cables together, I don't think.
I watched a few more videos (including making a starter coil for the 4 stroke single cylinder) on your channel and I have faith _you_ would think to do so. But, just as a random video by a random youtuber that I had never seen before? I would not think that was taken into consideration, I'd expect the level of "I got my shoes wet to properly ground myself, now I can hold the live cable safely"
Once the motor is hot enough it will theoretically run of compression u may even be able to disconnect the spark and it should run on compression
Probably not enough compression. I don't know exactly but 8 to 1 or less. Could even be down around 6 to 1. Diesels generally run, it depends a lot, but roughly 18. I think a diesel can technically work much lower, maybe 12 to 1 ish is the minimum for a practical diesel effect? But this won't work with a carburetor because, if there was enough compression, it would just pre ignite. Diesels prevent pre ignition by only injecting the fuel when they want it to fire. And the butterfly valve affects manifold vacuum, which affects the dynamic compression, which would change the ignition timing as well as the throttle. But I would have seen pre ignition if this had enough compression
Im subscribing cause you are down to post illegal shit. I love it!
I definitely waited on the statute of limitations. This was filmed years ago.
this is illegal not that i care but that power is non metered so theft technically
Correct
The paint was the problem.
I thought I had cleaned off the paint near where I was welding. Though I can't remember for certain.
cool.
Part of the problem looks like you are welding to painted metal. Grind that off first and you'll get better contact.
Well that was useless and dumb
